Inspiration
As freshmen at UCSD, we felt very overwhelmed with the amount of events going on during Welcome Week. We wanted to focus on events that would give us free food, but it was confusing to look through tons of fliers given to us on Library Walk. So we decided to make hunger.satisfy();.
How it works
hunger.satisfy(); connects students who are looking for free food events to the people hosting those events. Organizations hosting events can add new events to the app for others to see, and easily connect with.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of how polished our app looks. It is very clean and easy to use, which we think adds to the user experience.
What's next for hunger.satisfy();
We hope to incorporate Parse in order to create a more advanced form of data storage for users to interact with. We would also like to incorporate an upvote/downvote system in order for users to confirm an event's legitimacy. Adding markers on a UCSD map of where the event is in relation to the user would also enhance the user experience, and we intend to work with incorporating this feature.
