Hunger Out

To solve the problem of food insecurity by connecting individual and community food donors to the food banks. Our app helps the food donors input their excess food / left overs/ other pantry staples information on the website. The food will then be collected by the volunteers from food banks and delivered to the people in need.

How we built it

Using website and google maps API integration.

Challenges we ran into

Lot of brain storming, finding out on available food banks, researched to collect correct statistics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Solving a million dollar problem for the benefit of the society and the country.

What's next for Hunger Out

scaling it to the mobile platforms, expanding to other states of the USA and eventually to the other countries, bringing in AI and ML functionality to verify the quality of the food through the images uploaded by the donor.
