Inspiration

Humblebrag is a groundbreaking AI tool designed to effortlessly help professionals build authentic relationships both online and offline. Unlike previous relationship management tools, Humblebrag focuses on making nurturing relationships easier and less time-consuming. Our suite of AI tools and models aims to revolutionize the way professionals connect with people in their network.

What it does

Humblebrag is the first of a suite of AI tools and models we will create to make it effortless for every professional on Earth (+Mars) to build authentic relationships with people in their network.

How we built it

To create Humblebrag, we conducted 10 customer discovery conversations with participants and mentors at Cal Hacks to understand their current tools and follow-up habits. Leveraging our previous hackathon code and the Open AI API, we developed a tool that automatically drafts follow-up messages with the appropriate tone and mood for each digital touchpoint. We used React, Vite, and Typescript for the development.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the process, we faced the challenge of determining the scope of our weekend build. Ultimately, we focused on prompt generation based on tone/mood. Additionally, working with the LinkedIn API proved to be a tedious task.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to announce that Humblebrag can now auto draft follow-up messages in 5 different tones/moods across SMS, Email, and LinkedIn. This accomplishment sets us apart from existing tools and showcases the power of our solution.

What we learned

Through customer discovery conversations, we learned that we need to decide whether to prioritize a mobile or web-first approach for our initial launch. Furthermore, establishing a relationship with LinkedIn's dev team will be crucial to better leverage their API. We also discovered alternative methods, suggested by mentors, to obtain or send the necessary information without relying solely on the API

What's next for Humblebrag

Moving forward, we eagerly await feedback from judges, mentors, founders, and investors. With their input, we will continue our journey to develop the Jasper AI of nurturing authentic professional relationships.
