Humans and Nature

Inspiration

Our inspiration for our project was the many photos of nature that our teammates have taken. We wanted to show people these beautiful pictures to encourage more people to care about what's happening to the environment.

What it does

Our website includes many beautiful photos taken at national parks that our teammates have been to. It also includes several descriptions of how humans have affected the environment and what we can do to help the world.

How we built it

We built our website using HTML and a lot of photos that have been stored on a hard drive for years.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into include finishing our project in time because one day is not a lot of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Some accomplishments we're proud of include actually starting and finishing, even though it's not the best it could be. We are proud that we even came up with an idea because his the first hackathon our team has competed in, though one member (Mackenzie) has participated in a workshop for anther hackathon.

What we learned

We learned that to even stand a chance in this hackathon, we would need more experience, which we don't have. We also learned how to use HTML and create a website.

What's next for Humans and Nature

We plan to attend more hackathons until we win one (unless we actually win this one, which would be astonishing) and to stay safe at home during the pandemic (or forever).
