Inspiration

We are passionate about decreasing the gender disparity in real life and we wanted to expand on that into the field of astronomy in our project.

What it does

Our project established that gender disparity has been decreasing recently amongst astronomers, but it is still a prevalent issue.

How we built it

We used Excel and Power Query to sort our data and create charts.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble coming up with a narrative and creating visualizations of our data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of being able to being able to discover meaningful relationships between the variables and being able to successfully sort our data to discover those relationships.

What we learned

We learned how to sort data in order to discover the various correlations between the different variables, as well as how to use those correlations to create a meaningful narrative.
