Human vs AI Agency

Inspiration- Our inspiration comes from the idea that both society and the environment have hidden depths, just like the ocean. Many real-world problems—such as sustainability, resource management, and decision-making—require deeper understanding beyond surface-level thinking.

With Human vs AI Agency, we explore how combining human creativity with AI intelligence can help make more informed and sustainable decisions. The deep-sea theme represents exploration, responsibility, and the need to understand the long-term impact of our choices on society and the planet.

What it does- Human vs AI Agency is an interactive platform that allows users to explore how human decision-making compares with AI-generated solutions in real-world scenarios, especially those related to societal impact and sustainability.

Users can input a situation or problem, and the platform presents both a human-centered perspective and an AI-driven response. By visualizing these differences through a deep-sea themed interface, the project encourages users to think beyond surface-level answers and understand the depth, trade-offs, and long-term impact of each approach.

How we built it- We built Human vs AI Agency as a full-stack web application. The frontend was developed using React, Tailwind CSS and JavaScript, where we designed a deep-sea themed interface with gradients, animations, and interactive elements to create an immersive user experience.

The backend was built using Python and Java Script which handles user input and connects to AI services, Neon as database and we also use fast API. The project was developed collaboratively using Git and GitHub, allowing our team to manage versions and work efficiently.

Challenges we ran into- Our biggest challenge was connecting the frontend with the backend. Ensuring smooth communication between the user interface and the Flask server, while correctly handling user input and displaying AI responses in real time, required significant debugging and integration effort.

Accomplishments that we're proud of- We are proud of successfully building a complete full-stack application that combines human-centered reasoning with AI-generated insights in a seamless and interactive way.

We also take pride in designing a unique deep-sea themed interface that visually represents the concept of depth in intelligence, making the experience both engaging and meaningful. Lastly, we were able to fetch the activity on platforms which helped us to calculate agency index.

What we learned- This project taught us both technical and practical skills. We learned full-stack development, API integration, and how to design user-friendly interfaces.

Beyond technical skills, we learned how to work as a team, handle challenges, and think more deeply about building solutions that have real societal impact.

What's next for Human vs AI Agency- Our next goal is to scale Human vs AI Agency to support larger organizations such as agencies and educational institutions. We plan to expand the platform so it can be used to analyze and track AI usage patterns among users.

By providing insights into how often and in what ways AI is used, the platform can help organizations encourage a healthier balance between human creativity and AI assistance. This can support the growth of original, human-generated work while still leveraging the benefits of AI. In the future, we aim to add advanced analytics, user dashboards, and customizable tools tailored for institutions, making the platform more impactful for real-world applications in education and industry.
