Inspiration

By integrating Tableau Next, our Slack app analyses every message, enriches it with relevant context, and provides actionable insights—making it easy for anyone to understand what matters, who it impacts, and what to do next. By turning raw messages into context-rich information, it empowers everyone to become a great, fact-driven communicator

What it does

Our Slack app analyses messages and enriches them with relevant data from Tableau Next and other sources. It provides actionable insights, highlights key metrics, identifies stakeholders, and prepares the right context so every message becomes easy to understand and act on.

How we built it

We integrated Slack with Salesforce and Tableau next REST APIs, built a natural language processing engine to extract keywords and identify intent, and designed a context-enrichment layer that pulls relevant metrics directly into Slack messages. Rest api provides a list of visualisations and assets, and we add metadata to it

Challenges we ran into

Extracting meaningful context from short, ambiguous messages. and apis Mapping data from multiple sources (Salesforce, Tableau) reliably. Ensuring insights were personalised based on the recipient’s role and responsibilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Messages now provide immediate, actionable context. Teams can quickly understand who, what, and why, saving time and reducing errors. Empowered everyone to communicate as fact-driven collaborators.

What we learned

The human factor is crucial: context is only valuable if it’s relevant to the person reading it. Even small amounts of enriched data can dramatically improve decision-making. Integrating multiple data sources requires careful mapping and prioritisation.

What's next for Human in the Loop

Add real-time AI suggestions for next steps based on message content. Extend context enrichment to include historical trends and predictive insights. Explore adaptive personalisation so each user sees the context that matters most to them.
