Inspiration

What if a retro-futuristic hospital reminiscent of 1957 was constantly making noise? This project began with a simple idea: a noisy, but unprompted hallway. Set in a medical facility that blends sci-fi experimentation with bureaucratic nightmares, this short is a love letter to analog anxieties—CRT screens, flickering fluorescent lights, and unattended security cameras.

Synopsis

This is a short film generated entirely in Veo3. A strange and stylish 1950s sci-fi hallway. Everything makes unpleasant noises, as if time has stopped. No dialogue. No jump scares. Just strangeness. Characters pass through it in eerily silence, and strange objects—IV bags, tangled monitors, grotesque signs—whisper the dreams of forgotten clinics. What's the vibe? A mix of Lynch, Fallout, and a touch of hospital ASMR.

How We Built It • Video Generation: Generated entirely in Veo 3. No Midjourney or external image input was used. • Audio: Synthesized using Suno AI, blending ambient mechanical sounds, soft glitches, and retro instrument sounds. • Design Principles: No gore. No darkness for darkness' sake. Everything is brightly lit, painfully symmetrical, and fundamentally wrong.

Challenges We Faced • Veo 3's tendency to prioritize cinematic fluidity made it difficult to achieve a sense of "strange stillness." • We had to find a fine line between "comically absurd" and "subtly terrifying." • Characters needed to act appropriately, which meant we had to carefully choreograph their "non-acting" moments.

Proud Results • We built a fully contained visual world within Veo without using external tools. • We created a sci-fi comedy that unsettled the viewer without the need for dialogue or gore. • The result is a trailer for a movie that doesn't exist, but could exist.

Lessons Learned • Silence, repetition, and lighting can be more terrifying than screams. • AI tools like Veo and Suno have the power to explore not only realism, but also impossible emotions and false memories. • People laugh more when they're uncomfortable. This is a good thing.

Future Developments

We're expanding this into a series of short films using Veo. Stay tuned for smiling nurses, endless hallways, and sentient machines.
