Inspiration

Huldra was inspired by the challenges teachers face in providing timely and meaningful feedback to students while managing their heavy workloads. We recognized that students often receive a grade but lack clear insights on how to improve, and parents are left in the dark about their child's progress. With AI transforming industries worldwide, we saw an opportunity to bridge this gap in education by empowering teachers with smart, data-driven insights to improve student learning.

What It Does

Huldra is an AI-powered assistant that helps teachers provide actionable feedback to students. Instead of auto-grading, Huldra analyzes test responses, identifies common mistakes, and highlights areas for improvement. Teachers receive AI-generated insights into class-wide trends and individual student performance, allowing them to give more targeted feedback and guide students effectively. Students and parents get personalized recommendations for growth, ensuring continuous learning beyond just grades.

How we built it

We built Huldra as an AI assistant to help teachers, parents, and students analyze performance. We developed a basic school journal platform and integrated Huldra to enhance it. The website is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while Mathpix OCR AI and Google Gemini power the AI insights.
