This project is a dark, breakcore-inspired track with airy, existential vibes and anime-style vocals, paired with a moody music video. The artist name is Hueman Instrument, and the song is “She Smiles While The Stars Explode.”

The title “She Smiles While The Stars Explode” comes from this mix of idealism and quiet apocalypse that I was aiming for. I wanted the track to sit in that space where everything feels like it’s falling apart but is still strangely beautiful. It’s loosely in the emotional vein of artists like SewerSlvt, whose songs hit me really hard and inspired me to try for that same kind of intensity. In a way, this track is also a small step toward a future where AI knows my tastes better than I do and can help me create music that feels like the “ideal version” of what I’m always reaching for — even if I don’t think I’m fully there yet.

I created the music using ElevenLabs’ new music tools, experimenting with prompts instead of traditional songwriting. One specific goal was to get anime-style vocalizations that felt like chopped samples, but without actual lyrics. I did this by prompting non-verbal sounds and emotional cues rather than writing out words, so the voice feels expressive but not tied to a specific language.

Some of the main challenges:

• Getting the right blend of breakcore chaos and ambient, airy space
• Prompting for anime-like vocals that felt expressive but not lyrical
• Guiding the AI toward a very specific mood and texture on a tight timeline of just a few days

Overall, this project was a focused experiment in using AI as a collaborator to chase a very particular feeling: cute on the surface, existential underneath, smiling at the end of the world.
