Ubisoft's HackersNest API enables small platform game development and through its simplified graphics and physics engine and it makes it simple to develop games in the C++ environment. At the beginning of our 36 hour ordeal none of us knew anything about game development and C++ and ended the weekend learning how to develop a game from the basic graphic rendering and implementing a physics engine to adding obstacles and adding different level of difficulties.
Collision detection, sprite generation, asset modelling, animation, basic physics used in game and implementing a repeating background are some the topics we covered with our game.
Our idea influenced by North American meme culture and covered areas which Ubisoft's challenge wanted to explore.
