Inspiration
In Canada, Immigrants constitute a major percentage of the total population. As past newcomers and Gen-Z, our team would like to help newcomers get involved in their community and build strong financial foundations.
What it does
HSBC Lifestyle Rewards provides users with nearby best deal suggestions. Users collect points by using best deal coupons. The point system is a rewards system that users can redeem within the APP in order to obtain exclusive rewards.
How we built it
As a team of 3, we explored the society statistics, target demography, and user behaviors in Canada. From the business perspective, we've looked at the physical location of HSBC branches, business value proposition, brand elements, and development approaches. From that, we collaborated through Figma to validate the product. We went through 2 rounds of usability testing and eventually managed to accomplish the APP design.
Challenges we ran into
During the usability testing, we realized the initial user flow may cause confusion - the UX writing needs to be improved and the APP did not have feedback after the purchase, which may lead to a double payment. Thank to our decision of running usability tests, we had enough time to add new pages and implement changes. The best design never happens the first time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our teamwork is the best thing to highlight. We learned the agile development process at the beginning. We value communication and listen to each other's comments. We were able to follow the schedule and implement changes when the problem happens. The overall collaboration is successful and we will continue to work together in the future.
What we learned
We’ve learned the agile development process. Time management and communication are the foundation of successful teamwork.
