Inspiration

The concept of SSI is an inspiration itself. The idea of keeping all personal data and all credentials inside a user's wallet app is amazing alongside the concept of a decentralised access rights management system we implemented.

What it does

Our service allows enterprises to onboard new users in a really smooth and secure and trusted way.

How we built it

First of all we did some research and hold an interview with JC's friend to understand the key pain points of onboarding processes. After understanding business side and user journey we focused on technology part and dived deep in Hyperledger Indy and Evernym solutions.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Keep all the things simple for end user.
  2. Some difficulties were met while setting up the development environment

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We did what we planned, although it was tricky

What we learned

  1. We learned a lot of possible SSI use cases talking with mentors
  2. We learned how to make an API based on Hyperldger Indy blockchain to issue, verify or request credentials

In the afternoon, we had a call with an employee from a large space corporation who helped us understand the hiring process. The insights slightly toppled our idea. Pivoting to a new idea to some time. Options were: go for a huge case that involves multiple governments or go for a very limited inhouse use case.

We decided to go for the latter after consulting the mentors from Evernym and esatus.
