We use IBM Watson's linguistic analytics (Personality Insights) to infer cognitive and social characteristics of tech job applicants based on their cover letter, and answers to free-response behavioral questions. Our web application then performs a deep analysis of Github activities to compute the level of technical expertise of the applicants. Using IBM Watson's combinatorial optimization tool (Tradeoff Analytics), we enable HR experts to hire the most ideal candidates with lowest amount of cost. Our application is hosted on IBM's next generation cloud app platform Bluemix for robustness and easier integration with the Watson technology.
