Project is inspired by the sad students that walk around campus and think that they're alone in this. Keep your head up, it's not you, it's GT!

People think that Georgia Tech is a great place. And it is indeed! However, nobody talks about the dark side of GT... Depression, anxiety, dining halls. Nobody except Reddit! That's why we create a sentiment analysis web application, or simply put - a campus-wide mood-meter. Our app uses sophisticated techniques and analyzes the mood on campus.

This is a great way to relate and see that you're not alone with your struggles. Buzz also has sometimes hard times...

What is it about?

We measure daily average mood on campus and present it in a meaningful way. We evaluate every reddit post from /gatech subreddit, assign it a mood score and visualize. People can see mood trends over the last month and try out different models (currently, Claude and our custom model) to see how those differ in estimating average Georgia Tech enjoyer experience.
