Inspiration

Sometimes we don't know what to do and where to hang out. Partly it might be because we feel numb or we are used to the routine. A little bit of introspection and socialization can go a long way.

What it does

It asks you how your day was, and reads your facial emotions to recommend places where other people who are having a similar day can meet each other. We built online face expression detection application by faceapi.js and we sent the detection results to find corresponding locations using Trimble MAPS API and to offer the route to go there.

Challenges we ran into

JavaScript is not our first language! We actually learned it in the last 24 hours with the hopes of having a 100% web application. It was a great challenge, but we appreciate all the wonderful people there to provide help.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Putting everything together! We managed to successfully recognize face features and emotions; we created a user-friendly API to extract that information; we learned how to use maps API to show route from current location to matched destination, which is chosen by your emotion info.
