Inspiration
We are interested in blockchain technology and we see one of problems in this hackathon can be solved perfectly with blockchain technology so we went with it.
What it does
It provides a middle-man-less platform for real estate trading between different parties
How we built it
We built it on the ethereum blockchain using solidity, javascript (web3.js), html, css, and simulated a blockchain using ganache.
Challenges we ran into
Learning about blockchain in general and getting used to thinking in a different mindset compare to traditional web development. We also needed to change our design multiple times to overcome some technical difficulties.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned a lot more than what we came in with a day ago, and we have a minimal working prototype that can be expanded upon to other fields not just limited to housing.
What we learned
That blockchain is a wonderful technology that has a lot of opportunities in the future
What's next for HousingDataTransparency
To make sure the connection between different components are robust and secure, also write test cases to make sure they work.
