Inspiration
we were inspired to build an application that helped reduce the stress of searching for off-campus housing near universities.
What it does
Housing Buddy is an application that serves as a platform for efficient research into off-campus housing. The application contains a map with markers that show the buildings that are available for tenants. Each marker can be clicked to reveal a sidebar full of essential information about the building. Also, user-written reviews can be left to create an accurate representation of the living space at each marker.

Challenges we ran into
Many of the group members were inexperienced working with firebase. Having to learn and overcome obstacles that come with adopting new technology was a great learning experience.
What's next for Housing Buddy
implement a reward system to incentivize users to leave reviews. This should be easy as we already have a user authentication system.
