Inspiration

In a society plagued by gender discrimination and inequities, women are confronted with lesser opportunities for growth, which negatively impacts their home and work lives. Through this challenge, we were interested in reducing this burden and exploring which areas in New York City have the most resources (such as Latin Media and Entertainment Commission, Japanese American Association of New York, and Women's Forum Inc.) available for marginalized women.

How you built

Our project was built using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS through Visual Studio Code.

Challenges you faced

We ran into some challenges determining how to best sort our dataset to easily access certain fields for creating the bar graphs, but decided on sorting the data by borough to count the total number of resources for any given area.
