Inspiration

Our inspiration originated from the Gemini AI track. We wanted use AI to create a product to help the people in our community who are struggling with a cost of housing/crisis. We realized home loans were an incredibly confusing and undervalued area of fucus, but nonetheless important.

The theme of this hackathon is Heist, so we leaned into the concept of robbing the banks to find the cheapest home loans. We named our site RobTheBankLegally.compare since we knew this project would be a steal. (sorry we had to)

Although our team is made of seniors and a graduate, this project came with a large learning curve. Rolando, who worked on our front end learned React for this project, James H Learned Postgre, git, and docker from this project, and James G learned typescript to communicate with our AI agents.

We experienced a couple of difficulties during this project. First, the nature of the data itself was difficult to collect and stretched the limits of our AI agents. Configuring an environment for our database that is able to communicate with our AI agents was also incredibly complex to learn for James H. Rolando also, struggled with learning React and TypeScript.

Hundreds of google searches later, we have a product that we are proud of. We used : Google Gemini 3.8 Flash Node.js and Express to handle server-side logic and API requests React to develop our front end PostgresSQL for storing and managing application data. Typescript to easily deploy the multi-agent system
