Inspiration
We choose this idea because we learned that the overall unemployment rate soared by 14.7 % in April this year, causing numerous workers to lose their jobs. Furthermore, some of our own family friends were having a hard time keeping up with their children, inspiring us to take this in our own hands.
What it does
Due to the chaos happening in the world, low income people are losing jobs and are in need of a source of income and many parents who are confined to a home work space are too busy to take care of their kids while they work.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
- Had to learn HTML and CSS from scratch, this caused trouble in some parts of the website, like the background image, the logo, the navigation bar.
- Several time was spent learning about databases and creating a responsive login page (not an easy feat when you know little code)
- As we aren’t professionals, our website crashed multiple times and we didn’t know the best HTML and CSS code editor to use.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
WE BUILT A WHOLE WEBSITE FROM SCRATCH AS BEGINNERS!
What we learned
We learned about databases, HTML, CSS and how to manage time wisely.
What's next for HourCare
We plan to make our website better in the future and maybe implement this into the real world for a good business.
