Hotlist is a location-based social media app that helps friends coordinate plans and discover what’s going on today, tomorrow, and throughout the week at millions of venues worldwide.

Users follow friends and places to receive personalized updates about upcoming plans and activity, keeping everyone in the social loop.

Users can take “virtual peeks” inside of venues and see profile photos of the expected crowd, girl/guy ratios, event details, and which of their friends plan to be there.

Hotlist makes social decisions easier by pulling public data from across the social web and personalizing it for each user based on their geo-location and social preferences. By making all this public data relevant, Hotlist helps you figure out what to do in advance without the hassle of calling and emailing everyone.

Hotlist recently graduated from Mayor Michael Bloomberg's NYU Poly incubator (joint project with NYCEDC) and now is located in the heart of SoHo. Hotlist has over 40,000 users in NYC (the most popular city for Hotlist users) and is 100% hand made in NYC.
