Inspiration

Price is important but what about sustainability?

What it does

Through a chatbot system, the potential user-customer interactively dialogues. The user's responses are analyzed and hotels that meet the user's criteria are recommended. What's special is that the results will be sorted so that the trip programmed is the most environmentally friendly.

How we built it

Frontend: React
Backend: Python
Dataset manipulation/analysis: Jupyter notebook
Chatbot: OpenAI GPT-4
Project management: Trello board

Challenges we ran into

Analyzing and using datasets in GtaphSQL format
Set up an OpenAI's GPT-4 API linked to the dataset
Time management between group members

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A very nice frontend that's developed in a healthy way
Teamwork communication and productivity

What we learned

For some, this project has enabled them to discover and perfect their knowledge of GrafQL, while for others, it has reinforced their knowledge of the Python language. For others, it enabled them to put advanced frontend techniques into practice.

What's next for HotelFan

Add a true artificial intelligence model to the chatbot, currently, the chatbot asks the questions itself... the aim would be for the user to describe what he or she wants and for the AI to interpret his or her wishes and take all requests into consideration, and only then are the recommendations presented.
