Inspiration

Most of the families of our group runs hotel business back in our home country that’s why we made this project.

What it does

Our hotel website allows users to explore and interact with various aspects of the hotel experience. It includes the following features: Homepage: Welcomes visitors with an overview of the hotel, showcasing images and key highlights.

Room Listings: Displays different types of rooms available, including descriptions, amenities, and prices.

Online Booking: Allows users to select check-in/check-out dates, choose rooms, and submit booking requests.

Gallery: Offers a photo tour of the hotel facilities, including rooms, lobby, pool, and dining areas.

Contact Page: Provides hotel contact details and a form for inquiries or feedback.

Responsive Design: Works well on both desktop and mobile devices for a smooth user experience.

How we built it: we built with the help of html and css

Challenges we ran into: It was our first hackathon project, it was bit challenging. Some challenges we face are:

Responsive Design: Making the website look good on both desktop and mobile devices took a lot of tweaking with CSS and media queries.

Booking Functionality: Implementing a user-friendly booking system was tricky. Handling date inputs, form validations, and confirmation messages required extra attention.

Page Navigation: Ensuring smooth and consistent navigation between different pages sometimes broke due to incorrect linking or routing.

Image Optimization: Loading high-quality images without slowing down the site required compressing images and optimizing loading times.

Team Collaboration: Dividing tasks and merging changes from multiple team members occasionally caused version control issues.

Time Management: Balancing this project with other coursework and deadlines was a challenge, especially during testing and final integration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of : We built a fully functional and responsive hotel website with a clean design, smooth navigation, and a working booking form. We worked well as a team and improved our web development skills.

What we learned

We learned how to structure web pages using HTML and style them effectively with CSS. We gained experience in creating responsive layouts, designing user-friendly interfaces, and organizing content clearly. We also improved our teamwork and communication skills.

What's next for Hotel Website

We plan to add more features like a working booking system using JavaScript or a backend language, improve mobile responsiveness, and possibly connect it to a database for storing reservations. We also want to enhance the design with animations and interactive elements.
