Inspiration
We took much inspiration from modern military technology, such as continuous radar systems allowing "wall-hacks" and systems that would relay information effectively without the possibility for RF jamming or interception of signals
What it does
Our project is a autonomous ground rover that navigates GPS-denied landscapes using dead-reckoning and computer vision to locate, triage, and deliver aid to wounded soldiers without Internet or cloud.
How we built it
Arduino, python, arduino uno Q
Challenges we ran into
- chips are not resetted
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Dealing with time constraints and compatibility issues, pushing through an all-nighter without losing determination
What we learned
We learned of how finicky the interactions between Arduino UNO Qs and hardware can be, as we spent most of our time troubleshooting issues with connections to our cameras and sensors.
What's next for Hot_coco_robot
Hopefully, we will be able to actualize our idea in the future my mapping the movement of our simulation to our IRL drone/car. It had issues as the hardware also allowed room for physical errors, as our wheels/motors aren't always guarenteed to operate in an ideal manner.
