What it does

HostlessWP is a free, open source command-line tool that moves a running WordPress site onto Cloudflare Workers with one command: npx hostlesswp. PHP 8.3 runs inside the Worker as WebAssembly, the site keeps its existing MySQL database, reached through Cloudflare Hyperdrive over SSL or a Cloudflare Tunnel, and the media library goes to R2 or another S3-compatible bucket. WordPress core, the theme and the plugins are not modified. A guided setup first runs a read-only check that lists active plugins against a tested compatibility list, then deploys to a test address, and the original site keeps serving until the domain is switched. The 30 most-installed WordPress.org plugins load at page level, and a real WooCommerce checkout was tested end to end. Small sites fit the Workers Free plan. A public WooCommerce demo resets every 3 hours. Early preview, GPL-2.0-or-later.

Platform and pricing

Free, open source CLI (GPL-2.0-or-later): npx hostlesswp, Node 20.11 or later. The only costs are Cloudflare's own free tiers, then Workers Paid at $5 a month. Source: https://github.com/hostlesswp/hostlesswp

How it's built

Node.js ESM CLI with a guided setup that wraps wrangler. PHP 8.3 compiled to WebAssembly runs inside Cloudflare Workers; the database is reached through Cloudflare Hyperdrive; media goes to R2 or S3-compatible storage; WP-Cron runs on a Cron Trigger.
