Inspiration

We’ve all seen how healthcare can feel overwhelming—patients carrying files from hospital to hospital, struggling to explain their symptoms, while doctors spend precious time buried in paperwork instead of focusing on care. We wanted to change that.

What it does

HospitALL was born from the belief that technology should simplify, not complicate. By combining AI, voice tools, and a patient-first design, we set out to build a platform where care feels connected, clear, and human again.

How we built it

HospitALL is built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive UI, while Supabase powers authentication, role-based access, and database management. The structured database supports hospitals, staff, patients, appointments, and medical records. For AI and voice, we integrated Deepgram for real-time speech-to-text and Gemini 2.5 Flash for transcript structuring and smart summarization.

Challenges we ran into

Designing intuitive role-based dashboards that remain simple despite complex workflows. Handling voice transcription accuracy across medical terminology. Ensuring secure document uploads and sharing only with patient consent. Building a seamless multi-step appointment scheduler without making it overwhelming.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integrated voice-based workflows for both patients and doctors. Built a document upload + AI summarization feature that saves time for doctors. Created a fully functional two-sided platform with no mock data, powered by real Supabase tables. Designed a professional, blue healthcare UI that feels modern yet approachable.

What we learned

The importance of UX simplicity in healthcare—patients and staff should never feel lost. How to integrate voice AI + LLMs effectively for structured medical outputs. The challenges of building role-based apps that serve very different needs (patients vs hospitals).

What's next for Untitled

Expand AI capabilities with deeper analytics (risk prediction, symptom clustering). Add wearable integration for real-time vitals logging. Support multi-language transcription + TTS for global accessibility. Scale the platform to support large hospital networks with advanced reporting.
