Inspiration
Hospitals in developing countries do not have access to hospital management software which costs tens of thousands of dollars. We want to prevent doctors in third-world countries from using spreadsheets to keep track of patients.
What it does
HospitalHero keeps track of patients' information in a user-friendly and accessible user interface.
How we built it
We used Flask, Jinja, Bootstrap, CSS, and HTML to build this.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to make the "see patients page" display a different page if there are no current patients. Using some jinja templating, we were able to fix this problem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our focus was on making a simple, yet powerful hospital management tool with an easy to understand user interface. We are proud of our sleek, modern look that makes it easy for doctors to be able to use the software without needing a tutorial.
What we learned
We learned how to take user input in beautiful forms and store that data into SQL databases.
What's next for Hospital_Management_Software
We plan to automate the patients' recovery time calculator through machine learning.
