Inspiration
COVID-19 is a virus presents a clinical picture that varies from asymptomatic infections to severe respiratory conditions, being highly contagious. The transmission occurs by direct contact with a sick person or through droplets of saliva, handshake, sneeze, coughing, contaminated objects, etc. Up to 80% of confirmed COVID-19 cases show symptoms similar to a common flu, such as runny nose, fever, cough. Some can also show malaise, body and throat pain, chest pain and difficulty breathing, which can make it difficult to know the disease if you cannot get a medical diagnosis by going to the hospital. The current Brazilian healthy system scenario is the drama due to overcrowding, whether in public or private hospitals. When seeking care people face huge queues and hours of waiting at the hospital receptions, where usually they have not a comfortable waiting structure for people. All this, in addition to the growth in the number of confirmed cases and people who are in observation because of the virus, there exists an increase in the number of cases of people with dengue, which always has an increase in the first quarter of the year, and also people who need to user other health services. This all results in a situation of overcrowding at the waiting rooms, enabling the spread of the virus. Thinking about that, was developed the HOSPITAL SERVICE, a platform that integrates the medical screening and queue services, such that our users can, by a questionnaire, ask questions about their symptoms, besides being able to localize a hospital and request a waiting form. There is also a space for the interested health institutions to register themselves in the system. As a future proposal, we have the option of integrating, at the medical screening moment, the telemedicine as a way to solve the doubts of the person, because besides being more enlightening, it can also help to calm down the person, due to the current panic mood that everyone live with, often because of misinformation in fighting the pandemic.
What it does
- The users have access to the time when the hospital will be able to consult them, according to the queue, so the users can wait at their call at home, avoiding spreading or becoming infected by the virus. The platform is simple, with direct and objective access for the medical screening, info about COVID-19 and available hospitals options, in addition to having the Healthy Secretary contact information and social media from our City and State. The medical screening is a fast and clear questionnaire, based on information disseminated by Brazilian Healthy Secretary and WHO.
How I built it
- The platform was developed on the internet, under WIX domain, due to its accessibility, development facility and integration with web application.

- Too much of Javascript, Digital Markenting, and Html.
What's next for Hospital Service
- Increases real tools and integrate with the Health System.
