Inspiration
In Nepal due to lack of technological advancement i see many people suffereing from understanding basic medical term, related to diagnosis, medicines. And lack of medical history and improper mamangement of medical paper leads to different problem becuase for Doctor patients history is very impotant to give appropriate drugs. I have faced problem when i had to go out of country and I didn't have access to my medical history.
What it does
This has two parts: Patient Part: here patient can register themself, and create medical profile. The web app has feature realted to booking appointment, Ai summary, ocr and different other. Patient can book , reschedule doctors appointment. Patient also have access to their medical history , patient can upload files, and also the Doctors prescription. Doctor Part: Even if the patient is new to Doctor , Doctor has access to whole medical history. Doctor can access files and Patients data. There is also feature to summarize and query upon patient data thanks to use of AI.
How we built it
I built it using React libray, and with the integration of groq APi for llm use. ⚛️ Frontend : I used React library as main to create my frontend. 🍃 Database : I have used Mongodb as my database which is easy to use when using react. I have created different Doctors and Patient collection in it. 🛠️ Backend: I have used express for backend integration which performs post, get with the database. 🧠 LLM: I have used free api key from Groq to access to LLM, i used llama instruct 17b paramter model for multimodal capability.
Challenges we ran into
I think more than challenge this hackathon was fun, some errors and problems occured which took very long to debug, but i think its the journey of developing the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of that this can create a big impact in society if executed properly. Very common people who are not familiar with medical terms, AI can help them unsderstand their report and everything they need to know. Alos booking appointment became more easy.
What we learned
In this process of creating web app, since this is my first multi-modal ai application , it was different and fun integrating it.
What's next for Hospital OS
Since it is derived from real problems, I hope to implement it to the common people of Nepal and maybe expand , to make healtcare more effective and easy.
