Inspiration
Considering that HOSPITAL is associated with the lives of common people and their day-to-day routines. Handling the record manually is time-consuming and error-prone. This project aims to automate or make available online the day-to-day activities of the hospital like the room activities, new patient admissions, patient discharges, assigning a doctor, and finally computing the bill, etc.
What it does
A hospital management system automates all hospital activities in a computerized manner in order to improve performance. This project involves maintaining patient details, lab reports, and calculating the patient's bill. Additionally, you can edit any patient details and issue a bill receipt to the patient within a few seconds.
It discusses the process of how a patient receives treatment, details about the date of treatment, and finally how billing is calculated based on various criteria, such as room allocation, lab reports, medicine taken, etc. During billing, the health card facility is also taken into consideration.
How we built it
The Hospital Management System is built on the database, object-oriented, and networking techniques. For many areas we keep records in the database which we use MY SQL software, the best and easiest software for keeping information, Hospital Management System is designed to meet the specific requirements of mid-size and large hospitals across the globe. Our modules and features are specifically designed to fit your requirements. JAVA is used as the front-end software, which is an Object-Oriented Programming language. It has connectivity with MY SQL.
Challenges we ran into
There were no crucial or difficult challenges we faced.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we worked as a team and saw that we had each other back
What we learned
We learnt about how the hospital management works and we did research about their storage systems and put a lot of effort into improving it.
What's next for Hospital Management System
Next step for the project is to convert it into a visualized software.
