What it does
For our project we came up with a website that lists the top 3 best hospitals in the area, along with providing direct access to each hospital’s website. This website is great for people who are moving to one of the top 20 most populated cities in the US, as they can easily find out hospitals in their area, so they can receive the best care that they need. Having access to hospitals is important as you never know when something will happen to you and you will need to go the hospital. Healthcare is part of our lives, so hospitals are too.
A hospital’s rank in the list is based on U.S. News Best Hospitals analysis, which scored hospitals on medical outcomes such as survival; patient experience, nurse staffing, along with different specialties and common procedures. Having access to hospitals is important.
How we built it
For the website code, we used a variety of technologies. On the frontend I created the layout and functionality for the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. On the backend I used Node.js to write server side code and used SQL to query data from the database.
