(Tracks/prizes we want to apply for: BEST IMPACT, RISING TECH, RUNNER UP HACK, BEST OVERALL HACK) This project was created after learning that medical errors were the third leading cause of death in America, as well as the fact that 62% of people who do not take prescriptions on time simply forget. To solve this problem, we used the Impact track for this project and hence Horizon was created.

What it does

Horizon is a web application that allows users to input information such as prescriptions, allergies, and symptoms, by providing healthcare providers with a database of information. This information will subsequently reduce the number of medical errors because of an increase of medical information.

How we built it

Horizon was built using as the IDE, and we used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to program the application.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges were found in keeping the basic CSS template for the nav-bar consistent, and despite keeping the stylesheet identical for the nav-bar each time, it would change depending on the page.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are very proud of creating a functioning web application within this short amount of time!

What we learned

We learned how to use, and how to create different input options for the symptoms, allergies and prescription pages.

What's next for Horizon

We hope to edit the web application to create a better user experience, as well as implementing Firebase into the system.
