Inspiration

Our project was inspired by a video from Mark Rober, where drones delivered vital blood packets to rural communities in Africa. We were struck by how such simple, cost-effective technology could save lives and wanted to apply it in a way that helps people. The rise in natural disasters, especially the nearby Eaton Fire and the recent devastation in the Midwest, made us realize the urgent need for faster emergency response. We decided to bridge these two ideas—drones and disaster relief—into one solution. Our goal is to create a drone system that supports search and rescue efforts by locating survivors and delivering essential supplies after natural disasters.
