Suicide does not discriminate. People of all genders, ages, and ethnicities can be at risk. Suicidal behavior is complex, and there is no single cause. Many different factors contribute to someone making a suicide attempt. They are preventable. Much can be done to prevent suicide at individual, community, and national levels. Multiple types of psychosocial interventions have been found to help individuals who have attempted suicide.These types of interventions may prevent someone from making another attempt. Build a website that have: Home Page, Guide detail Page, About, Contact Page along with FAQ Bot deployed on Website for user's help.

What it does

The proposed project of Website Development for suicide prevention helps in vanishing the ideas of committing suicide for individuals.. The main goal was that the project’s website to act as the core communication tool. For this reason, the website was designed taking into consideration the following:

  1. To be simple and light
  2. More informative as possible
  3. Maintenance easiness & content update The website encourages the users to live their life no matter what is happening and provides them assistance to contact the leading psychiatrists and experts at the other end .

How we built it

  • Web Technologies used : HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap
  • Primary Azure Technology : Azure Bot Service, QnA Maker, Static Web Apps
  • IDE: VS-Code

Challenges we ran into

We tried to inclucate the Azure technologies in our website for the very first time, which was the main challenge we faced during the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

By using the standard resources and tools, the users would be able to view the web pages no matter what browser is used. The pages would load faster with ease. The website encourages the users to live their life no matter what is happening and provides them assistance to contact the leading psychiatrists and experts at the other end .

What we learned

We have learnt more about this sensitive cause which has been neglected by people nowadays along with the latest Azure technologies which we can use to improve our wesite better.

What's next for Hope

For future enhancements we can transcend physical limitations of previous suicide prevention methods and deliver sincereness to infinite number of people by integrating it Machine Learning.
