Inspiration

The inspiration behind Hope is to help people who suffered Domestic Abuse and other forms of social injustice.

What it does

This platform connects Victims of abuse to the NGOs. Then NGOs can contact them to offer help.

How we built it

I built this project using React JS, Vanilla CSS, and Gitpod for development. I used the browser's local storage for storing data but in the future, I will use Firestore to save data on the cloud.

Challenges we ran into

This is not a full-fledged Web app this is just a prototype. This was my first project in React JS. So it was hard for me to organize the project structure.

What we learned

While building this project I learned how people are suffering from different kinds of abuse they face. On the technical side, I learned concepts like different kinds of hooks from React and How we can store data locally in the browser.

What's next for Hope

• Currently, the users don't have the option to be anonymous that's the next thing on my list.
• Firestore database to save data
• Login feature so only registered users can use this platform
• Improvement in UI
