Inspiration

As first year college students, we have little experience with credit score, so we wanted to learn more about it and create a program would help estimate someone's credit score.

What it does

This program takes inputs from user about their credit use such as how long they have had a credit card. Using the inputted information, the program will then output an estimate of one's credit score based on the inputted information.

How we built it

We used Python to compile the user inputs. We also looked at what goes into calculating credit scores.

Challenges we ran into

It was our first time using GitHub. We found it quite difficult to acclimate to, but once we got the hang of it, things started falling into place.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we learned how to use GitHub. At our lowest point, we were considering the possibility of giving up because of the challenges we were facing with GitHub. However, we had breakthroughs with it and managed to work everything out.

What we learned

After working on this program, we all feel stronger in facing future struggles. We know there are many of those ahead of us, and we feel much better prepared to handle them now.

What's next for HoosCredit

HoosCredit could continue as an app that people can download on their mobile devices and easily estimate their credit scores on the go in any situation.
