Inspiration
Each of us plays NBA2k20, our joint passion for the game led to our project
What it does
Shows the ranking of every player based on their Player Efficiency Rating to show who is the best player
How I built it
Using Java to make the calculations for the rankings, and Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js for the front end showing the rankings.
Challenges I ran into
Implementing large data from excel into Java and Node.js, a well as being able to handle the frontend which neither of us had handled before
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Managing to finish the project with the number of different frameworks and languages we were using
What I learned
Many different frameworks and a lesson to focus on the vital parts of our code instead of spending a lot of time in making it fancy
What's next for HoopStats
A visual representation for each data, as well as more tabs for other statistics
