What it does

Honest Copy highlights risky claims in English and Korean product listings ("cures acne", "100% guaranteed", "No.1 in Korea"), explains why each phrase is risky, and offers measured rewrites with a before/after risk score.

Who it's for

Small online sellers who write their own listings — I spent six years as a commerce MD and data analyst in fashion retail and saw how one overpromising line can get a listing taken down or erode trust.

What I learned

Starting from an empty folder with the Skill Pack, writing scope, PRD and spec before code kept the AI agent focused; deterministic rules first, optional AI rewrite second, made the tool explainable and still useful with no API key.

Planning and Skill Pack

Built from an empty folder with the Devpost Learn Skill Pack. Public planning documents: scope.md, prd.md, spec.md.

How I built it

TypeScript, Vite, local bilingual phrase rules, and an optional server-side OpenAI-compatible rewrite using NVIDIA Nemotron via Nebius Token Factory. Deployed on Vercel. The seller can review, apply, undo and recheck suggestions.

Boundaries

The score is a wording indicator, not factual verification or publishing approval. Rules can miss claims and context. Live AI suggestions require review; when unavailable, the app labels its local fallback.
