Inspiration
During the Corona pandemic, a large section of society was affected badly. Many people lost their livelihoods and couldn't provide for themselves.The medical sector was hit most hard by it. [1]Even more, the mortality rate of COVID-19 was 8.1 times higher among those 55 to 64 years, and more than 62 times higher among those ages 65 or older. The elderly were impacted the most by it. The new Omicron variant of COVID-19 is also expected to create a 3rd wave of patients across India. To provide a solution and help elderly people suffering from shortage of medical assistance we came up with this idea of HOMITAL - A DOCTOR AT HOME.
What it does
Our website provides a platform for sick people to reach out towards medical staff like nurses and compounders, not just doctors. Patients or the family members of patients can reach out to various medical staff based on their location and then contact them. The medical staff will be verified first with their credentials being checked to avoid scams. The website will try to only provide real solid contact details and connect patients requiring assistance as soon as possible.
