Inspiration
We want a prosperous future but it is not looking so hot right now. Especially with the newest generation and their intelligence/capacity to learn.
What it does
Boost kids grades and give them that BIG brain energy by providing them with a brain-rot homework helper web application. How? It’ll keep them engaged and wanting to learn more because they’re having fun.
How we built it
We built it using Gadget and Gemini AI.
Challenges we ran into
Buggy software, issues with version control (specifically integrating different team members' code together). There was not enough initial communication about the idea leading to members working on different ideas regarding the same concept.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Pulling all nighter's and keeping our sanity, getting our Gemini AI to integrate in our web application, staying friends, making something that works and making the UI was a lot of fun!
What we learned
Don’t be brain rot, brain rot is bad! Also, how much we miss regular version control workflow and how to communicate better.
What's next for Harold the Homework Helper
Fixing bugs (make video player more spontaneous), adding more memes, optimizing the visual text per age group, adding more types of study material options beyond multiple choice quizzes.
