Inspiration

As students, we noticed that keeping track of homework and managing time for school isn’t an easy task. We created this platform so that students can easily access how long a specific assignment takes.

What it Does

Our project is an application that takes in the time to do homework from all our users to find averages for each homework assignment. With enough data, our program will be able to estimate the time needed to complete an assignment for various subjects and difficulties. Our program helps students manage time easily and increase productivity when it comes to doing homework.

How we Built It

We built the frontend of our app with React.js and Typescript, and the backend with Flask, Python, and Firebase

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we created a fully functioning web app that had both a backend and frontend in only 12 hours!

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges such as incorporating Flask and Firebase in our app

What We Learned

We learned many things including working together as a group, and implementing a Flask backend with a React frontend

What's Next

We hope to improve our algorithm for estimating time and create dropdown menus for task names. We also plan on automatically getting assignments from platforms like Canvas and Google Classroom.
