Inspiration

We were inspired to create this project because we recognized the common challenges that individuals face when trying to purchase a home, as detailed in the challenge statement. The complex paperwork, financial considerations, and uncertainty about eligibility can be overwhelming. We wanted to develop a solution that could help potential homebuyers assess their readiness and provide them with actionable steps to improve their ability to purchase a home, making the home-buying process more accessible and understandable."

What it does

This web app allows potential homeowners to create an account and learn if they are ready to buy a home. They are prompted to enter data such as credit score and estimated mortgage which will be used to assess the user's readiness. If they meet the criteria, they will be directed to resources from Fannie Mae for their next steps towards buying a home. In the case they do not meet the criteria, they will be directed to resources on what they need to improve and how.

How we built it

We built this project using JavaScript and React as well as Figma for UX Design Mockups

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenge we encountered during this project was a tight timeline, which limited the available time for learning to all our implement ideas.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed the front end and UX mockups.

What we learned

While working on this project, we gained valuable insights into web development, UX design, and problem-solving. One of the most significant takeaways was our improved ability to manage our time efficiently and communicate effectively, as we faced the challenge of working as a team under a tight deadline.
