Inspiration

Gadgets come with piles of warranty cards and receipts, and when something breaks, the one we need cannot be found. The same scattered paper leaves many households without an insurance inventory or a clear view of spending.

What it does

From the receipts, warranty cards and photos already on a UGREEN NAS, it answers three questions: is this item still under warranty, what do I own with proof, and what did I spend this month.

• "Is my camera still under warranty?": the covering receipt, end date and file path.
• "Make a home inventory from my Home album and Receipts folder": a draft with matches and gaps; the user confirms unsure entries and approves each output.
• "How much did I spend in September?": totals per month and store, largest purchases, receipts added.

How we built it

One receipt pipeline, three uses. SKILL.md reaches the NAS only through four Uliya experts (file, document, photo, knowledge). Document AI reads store, date, total and warranty term from receipts; photo AI finds belongings and reads model labels; written rules match them, compute warranty end dates and monthly totals, and hand unsure matches to the user. Nothing is written until the user chooses an output and approves it on the NAS; originals are never moved or deleted. Prices come only from receipts; nothing is estimated.

Built with the UGREEN Skill Developer Package (uliya-skill-kit 0.7.3). AI tools: Claude Code (Anthropic; Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Fable 5.1) drafted the Skill files and the English text and ran the official checker; the author chose and widened the idea, decided every change, and named the project in Chinese (家管), which Claude Code translated as Homemaker.

Challenges we ran into

Keeping every delegate instruction inside the official checker's rules: one target, one instruction, no shell operators, no invented paths. Handling real receipts: dates in the Minguo calendar, totals printed without a currency, e-invoice proof copies, duplicate scans and refund slips.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The Round 1 package (SKILL.md plus five Markdown references) passes the official static checker: static-pass, 0 warnings. Every total lists its receipts, and unsure matches are marked instead of guessed.

What we learned

An agent that only delegates needs instructions that carry their own rules: what to return, what not to touch, and what to report when a folder is missing or a list is cut.

What's next for Homemaker

Not built yet: tuning on a real NAS. If selected for Round 2, run the test plan on the iDX6011 Pro (vision and receipt accuracy, evidence recall, approvals, run time) and record the demo there.
