Inspiration
According to a germany doctor, it is estimated that the distribution of patients with COVID 19 is as follows: Critical state: (5%) must be admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital. Dangerous state: (25%) will be quarantine at home with respiratory aid and monitoring of their condition Normal condition: (70%) will be in quarantine at home. The connected mask is intended for those with a dangerous state.
There are not enough ventilators available in hospitals right now for all of the potential patients who will be struck by the virus. An influential report from Imperial World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 30% of Covid-19 hospitalised patients are likely to require mechanical ventilation. In case of a pandemic, there aren�t enough to go around. For instance, in Italy, doctors have to choose who lives and who dies.The availability of such machines - no doctor should have to do this. we are developing a solution that provides to Covid-19 infected patients a Smart Emergency Ventilator in their home, int addition to that, this smart device can be supervised by their doctors without any cantact with them .
What it does
ur solution is a Smart Emergency Ventilator which will be automated and controlled remotely to keep infected people at home. This solution is divided into two parts: In the hardware part we have :
- A connected mask that summarizes several types of sensors (..) linked to a database can allow the patient's progress to be recorded in real time, data transfer to the cloud will be provided by a microcontroller.
- A mechanism that automates the operation of the manual resuscitator based on a motor that would govern the patient's breathing speed, the system would be checked and controlled by a specialist doctor crossing to a platform that displays the parameters vital at a distance At the touch of a button, the HOMEDOCTOR can connect to an Android device, which connects via wifi. The device will appear on the app home page. Once the heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature are selected, the system will send these vital signs to the database. In the software part we have : A mobile application that connects to the hardware to send the vital signs to the database, the app also can be used to supervise the patient state by their family without any contact with the patient himself. -
- A web application for doctors allows them to supervise maney patientsat the same time
