Inspiration

The themes of homecoming and winter made me think of going home, or visiting friends and family, during the holidays. Vehicles, their upkeep, insurance, and gas are all expensive and I think a ride share platform connecting people traveling in the same direction can help make travel more accessible.

What it does

Homebound allows users to create a profile, plan a trip and offer open seats or join a trip.

How we built it

Built with React, React-Router, Tailwind CSS, Userfront Auth, and the TomTom Services API (to search addresses, return long&lat, and soon chart a trip route)

What we learned & challenges we faces

This was my first time using Userfront and the TomTom API. Userfront fit in really well with react-router. TomToms API is massive and packed with functionality, deciding how to interactive with it was a hurdle in itself.
