From nearly one day to another, the corona-crisis brought a lot of office-worker into the situation that they had to work from their home-office where they don't find a professional equipment. Professional equipment is essential because it enables them to work efficiently and ergonomically. On the other hand a lot of companies offices are orphaned and mostly very well equipped. But how can we bring these two parties together?
What it does
Our solution 'HomeBoi' acts as a marketplace where home-office workers can fastly find professional equipment and companies on the other side are able to make a little bit of money from their unused equipment.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
A big challenge was to find a makeable solution for the 48 hours hackathon. And, regarding the business model, we might have a change in the scope to focus more on the local area. Something like a search over the map for example to find local available office equipment might be a huge benefit.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
A live and working Full-Stack Application featuring all basic functionalities, a nice marketing video and Basic UX Design within 48h with a very small team of 5 developers, 1 UX Designer and 1 Marketing Specialist.
What we learned
We learned that when we work together as a strong team, we can achieve very good solutions that empower the community in short time.
