Using AI to leverage basic front-end programming skills
What it does
Allows the user to input a brief description of the home improvement project or issue like repairing a drywall hole. The app uses AI to classify the severity of the issue or the complexity of the project and estimates a deadline for the user to follow along with a list of materials required to fulfil the task. This deadline is placed into a calendar. The app also provides links to tutorials and resources to accomplish the task.
How we built it
Used Gemini AI to build the framework and then worked on all components
Challenges we ran into
Debugging several issues, like configuring firebase database, setting up gitHub pages, and styling the app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
With bare knowledge we were able to understand many parts of the code generated by Gemini and debug errors the code generated had.
What we learned
Debugging, familiarized with html as well with firebase database.
