🏠 Home Budget – Smarter Financial Management

🎯 Inspiration
The idea for "Home Budget" was born from a common struggle—keeping track of daily expenses. Many budgeting apps either felt too complex or lacked the essential features needed for simple financial tracking.

I wanted to build an app that was "intuitive, user-friendly, and effective", helping users manage expenses, set financial goals, and gain better control over their spending habits.

Home Budget is a personal finance app designed to:

We developed Home Budget using:

React.js for a fast, responsive frontend
React Router DOM for smooth navigation
Context API for state management
Local Storage to persist user data without authentication
Chart.js to visualize income vs. expenses
CSS & Tailwind for a clean and modern UI

By focusing on a modular architecture, we ensured flexibility, scalability, and maintainability.

🚧 Challenges We Ran Into
Building the project wasn’t without hurdles:

Handling state efficiently : Ensuring transactions updated dynamically required fine-tuning React state management.
-Routing complexities: Nested routes for different financial sections took some debugging.
Optimizing data persistence: Without a backend, making sure data stayed saved after refresh was a challenge.
Balancing simplicity and functionality: Keeping the UI clutter-free while adding essential features required multiple iterations.
