Inspiration

HolyWordSpace was created to give people a peaceful place to meet with God. I wanted to build a tool that helps people connect with scripture, reflection, and prayer in a calm, simple, and meaningful way.

What it does

HolyWordSpace generates personalized devotionals based on your mood, topic, and prayer request. Each devotional includes:

. A short reflection

. A prayer

. An action step

Everything is designed to feel peaceful and spiritually uplifting.

How we built it

HolyWordSpace is built.with:

User input is sent to OpenAI, which selects scripture and generates a devotional. Supabase handles authentication and storage, while Vite ensures fast performance and smooth routing.

Challenges we ran into

Building a devotional generator that feels spiritually meaningful while using modern AI tools was a challenge. I had to learn how to connect React, Supabase, and OpenAI smoothly so the app could generate devotionals without errors. Designing a calm, gentle interface also required careful UI choices. Recording and editing the demo video took time because I wanted the pacing and visuals to feel peaceful and professional.

What we learned

I learned how to combine multiple technologies to build a real AI product. I learned how to design a gentle, devotional user experience. I learned video editing, UI refinement, and how to prepare a full Devpost submission. Most importantly, I learned that AI can be used in a meaningful, spiritual way to help people find peace.

What's next for HolyWordSpace - AI Devotional Generator

I plan to add:
